| Circular skirts were very popular in the mid 1904-1907, when very full, straight skirts were the most stylish. Known as a circular skirt in two parts, there is a seam at both center front, and center back. The back is fitted, in habit style, with a 6" sweep. The closure is in the center back. With the seams cut bias, this skirt is especially suited to stripes and plaids, which form a chevron effect at center front and center back. An optional band of fabric can be added to the skirt to simulate a pointed tunic.
This skirt requires 54" wide fabric. This skirt can also be cut cross-grain with the center front on a fold, which will require 60" wide fabric for skirt lengths over 41" long (front length.)

The Natural Form era Petticoat with Detachable Train - TV121 is being retired. Instead, we will be replacing it with an updated version - TV125 - but with the same name. With a totally revamped train piece, I felt it would be better to rename the pattern as new, rather than issue a new version with the same number. The main body of the petticoat will be the same, with the netting pillowed between two layers in the back. But the changes include 2 small hem ruffles instead of 1 larger one. And the train will now come off the back of the petticoat behind the knee, rather than at the floor. This will allow the petticoat to be used with TV225 - Fantail Skirt. I have long wanted to "fix" this pattern so that it was more functional, and hopefully the new version coming very soon will do everything I need it to. Anyone who has ordered the TV121 petticoat after May 17th will be receiving the new TV125 version instead. We should have the new pattern available very soon. Thank you all very much! and Happy Sewing! All news Subscribe |
