Two new creations from the TV Romantic Era gown

Postby Val » Tue Jan 27, 2015 10:48 am

Again I forgot to share these. I made two fancy versions in the 1835 sleeve style where the sleeves are really puffed out. Instead of gathering the front down, I pleated them down.
On the Persimmon dress I sewed orange glass "buttons" down the front bodice and skirt, that were actually from a stretch bracelet I bought at Michaels and took it apart. I wore it to Costume College last year.
On the Jewel Tone Plaid, I made a piped tab down the center of the bodice. I've had fun trying to come up with different things to do with this pattern, even tho subtle. I made this to wear to the SF Dickens Fair, and will be wearing it to the Riverside Dickens Fair and in the fashion show on Sat.

Absolutely beautiful work! Your hair, accessories, and decoration on the dress are just stunning, I love how everything works so well together, you look like you stepped out of a fashion plate!
