The only thing Victorian about this is that it's at the V&A, but it's so incredible I had to share.

Holy...that garment is jaw dropping. That color, the weaving, the embroidery...I wouldn't even want to cut into the fabric, that stuff is so gorgeous. I was like "No, don't cut it! What will you do with the scraps?" As if you can call fabric like that "scraps".

Wait.

Did I just see...velcro? You spend YEARS working on this and put velcro on it? Shame on them! I would think they would create cord with the strands and make frog closures or the like. Such a shame. Still a mind-blowing garment though.
