Edwardian Shoes

Postby Glennis » Fri Nov 09, 2012 12:37 pm

Now that Truly Victorian has Edwardian things...

If anyone is looking for historically accurate shoes, American Duchess is a wonderful place to find a pair. I recently purchased a pair of white Astorias and they not only fit great but are extremely comfortable as well!

American Duchess is also making button boots that do *not* have zippers in them, and has planned another Edwardian style, in 3 colours. Do stop by her website, it's well worth the visit!

RIGHT?! I had been thinking about girding my pocketbook to ask Harr Shoes about the price of an authentic high button boot, but now I'll be throwing the cyber-elbow on the third as I bust over there and place my order! :fence:

I found some vintage style shoes on Chinese version of Amazon - Aliexpress:
Maybe not 100% accurate or maybe near the Vicorian or Edwardian era but still ...

I don't generally like to preorder things that won't be delivered for several months, but dang I just had to get these as they'll go great with the vintage white button boots I got last year. Looks like Xmas in April! Now where did I put those button hooks?
