Victorian Poison Ivy

Postby DuchessArgylle » Wed Sep 30, 2015 6:35 pm

This is my Victorian Poison Ivy I made for the Calgary Comic-Con 2015. I used multiple TV patterns, namely TV 125 the Natural Form petticoat, TV 225 Fantail Skirt, TV 420 Cuirass Bodice and TV362 Wash overskirt. The sleeves of the bodice are the Chrysanthemum sleeves from the 1892 ballgown bodice pattern (TV 490).

It's make out of Silk dupioni, silk velvet and a cotton/silk blend that's a complete joy to work with. The petticoat was made out of green taffeta and I had green leather boots as well. It was a lot of fun to make and wear, although public transportation was a bit of a challenge with the train. I can't wait to wear it again!
