My 1890s skirt and jacket set

Postby Maja » Wed Jun 17, 2015 5:42 am

Hi everyone! I finally finished my first set of Victorian clothes, it became an 1890s set. I wore them to an event in January so they are very warm for this weather.

I've sewn everything except the blouse. The skirt is a TV291 1891 walking skirt and the jacket is a TV 498 1898 Eton jacket. I absolutely loved both these patterns but especially the Eton jacket, it was very easy to follow and turned out exceptional. I've gotten many complements on the jacket for that it looks so professional, and I definitely agree. I also love the amount of "puff" on the sleeves, I was afraid that the puffs would be too small for my taste but when I sewed them up they were exactly like I wanted them. For anyone who is thinking about ordering this pattern I highly recommend it. :)

Underneath I'm wearing chemise, drawers, corset, socks, corset cover (sort of) and two petticoats.

Very sharp! I love the brown, what kind of fabric is it?

Thank you so much everyone! :)

I don't know exactly what material the fabric is but I think it's some kind of blend.
