Ready for St Louis Archon

Postby kbtorre » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:39 am

Pretty much done except for one button that popped off (why does that always happen?)

All the patterns used were Truly Victorian except for my daughter's bodice which is the Mantua Maker Brandy City Bodice. I considered the Truly Victorian Polonaise but my daughter doesn't have a bust and not much of a waist (yet, since she's 9) and I'm not a good enough seamstress to figure out how to tailor the thing for a 9 year old.

I am working on wings, not sure if I'll have them ready though.

Off we go! Think my daughter's costume is good enough to enter her in the children's masquerade?

How Cute! I love your daughters dress, and she looks so happy. And you look lovely, too. Quite a pair you two make.

You both are so cute! There's just something about kids dressing up in Victorian clothing that makes me go "aww!"

I hope to see you guys at Archon! I'll be sporting my Victorian finery too.

I'll be there at 10AM on Saturday and then leave whenever. Wouldn't mind catching the Klingon makeup session.

As for making my daughter something she'll out grow in a year or less? Ha! I live for ironic frustration! And... making this stuff is fun.
