Girls dress

Postby Miss Cindy » Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:28 pm

I know it is NOT period correct, but it was fun to make and I think my daughter likes it. :) I won the trim on FB from Palladia Passementerie. Such a great trim and worked perfectly for my daughter.

I made a small bustle pad of my own to give the skirt a little support in the back. The skirt is basically a scaled down version of TV201. And the bodice is a scaled down version of TV403. I did not add any boning. I plan to make a matching hat at some point, too.
My little girl did a good job, the wind was blowing and it was 32 degrees, so she acted well! :D

Thank you kindly, Miss Heather! Even tho' your patterns aren't engineered for girls, it was not too difficult to scale it down. Thank you for the fabulous patterns!

Thank you, Miss Helena!
I finally made a hat to match, too.
She won best dressed at my church's Mother/Daughter Tea, yesterday.
And her Mommy won best dressed lady. :) We had a grand time together.
