Parisian skirt/vest basque

Postby Miss Cindy » Fri Mar 08, 2013 2:51 pm

Finished enough for me to wear.
It is cotton brocade in blue and fuchsia with black gimp trim and some black cotton ruffles that I made.

So cute! It reminds me of sophisticated cotton candy. Never thought I'd say that. Sophisticated cotton candy. Anyway, I love it! The black trim makes it and breaks up the color. And I love the bow in the back!

Thank you, Andrea!
Aside from the buttons on it, the bow is my favorite part of this dress.
I giggle at your description! It is good. Thank you so much! :)

I particularly like the way you tacked the lower apron swags. With the upper apron loose it gives a very multi-layered skirt look. Neat!

Miss MaryGode, I had to do something, it was too long in the front. :)
Miss Cathi, thank you! It is fun and I am please that it does fit me properly. Yeah!
Thank you!

What a perfect fit! You did great!

The colors are fun too, just at that time the synthetic dyes were the rage. :)
