1888 travelling costume

Here is my late 1880's "Travelling costume", which was inspired by the tartan fabric. It was a pleasure to make and I am pleased with the results. The patterns I used were: TV101 Bustle, TV261 Four-gore underskirt, TV463 French Vest bodice and TV305 Bustled apron overskirt. The hat was made by Heather Green of HJG Millinery, and she did an excellent job, perfect for the outfit. The hat was actually finished before the costume. Without further delay, here are the photos:

Thank you! I have to admit I really liked the plaid too, and I really think the hat makes the outfit.
