Bustle Underwear

Postby kellydofc » Fri Aug 26, 2011 2:06 pm

I have just completed my first set of bustle underwear. Since I have no idea how to post pictures here (somehow it always fails) I thought I would just post a link to my blog http://kellydofc.blogspot.com/2011/08/foundations.html

Pretty! What type of fabric did you use? I especially like the fabric that you used for the corset.

So pretty! What fabric did you use for your petticoat?

I am new to blogging so didn't think to put what the materials are. I am definately going to go back and do that. But for now here is the info; the combos are made of cotton batiste. The corset is silk shantung over 2 layers of cotton drill. The bustle is run of the mill muslin. The petticoat is taffeta and the lace insertion is backed by organza and there is a also a row of silk ribbon between the 2 layers of lace.

Fantastic workmanship on your petticoat and corset. I expect you will show the same attention to detail on the reproduction dress!
