TV110 My latest corset
I made this corset for a friend of mine. Her hips are bigger than mine, so that is the excess at the bottom. I just finished it a few minutes ago and put it on for a couple pictures. Don't know that the right color is depicted. It is actually a middle purple, not more blue or more red. Lovely color I think.

So pretty!

Thank you, both! Never could have done it, if it weren't for Miss Heather's fantastic pattern.

That is a fabulous corset. I love the color and the lace is so pretty.

I agree with you Miss Cindy, it's the best corset pattern I've tried! So much easier than any other construction method. I love the way the top and lining are sewn at the same time. Mine fitted just right the first time and it's definitely my favourite. I'd like to remake it with a spoon busk next time. Now I've seen yours, I feel inspired!

Re: TV110 My latest corset
I've seen various paintings and one photo in which Victorian women are wearing their corsets as the outermost layer, true it's generally only rural or the poor classes in cities, but I could see the point if you had a pretty corset like yours that you didn't want to hide.
