red and pink ballgown

Postby steffielove » Wed Apr 06, 2011 11:26 am

One of my christmas presents was a book with fashionplates. The dress on the cover was so amazing I just HAD to make it.

So i did

Undergarments:
a pink laughing moon silverado corset, and the tv 101 bustle

for the dress I used:
bodice: TV442 ballgown bodice
pink underskirt: tv201 underskirt
apron and train: combined the TV361 butterfly train with TV365 august overskirt

the result:

I also have been eyeballing that one ever since I got the book. I love your neckline and sleeve!

Beautiful job! The dress really looks great on you!

That is the cover on this book: Victorian and Edwardian Fashions from "La Mode Illustree".

It is on my reading list at http://astore.amazon.com/trulyvictorian/detail/048629711X

Fabulous book, one of my favorites.
