A year of work

Postby Cathi H » Mon Jul 19, 2010 12:59 am

A year of work for the Llandrindod Wells Festival 2010 is finished and in the box.
Here are some pictures of the clothes. If you wish, you can also look in the Photo Gallery at Cathi Higham. As I am very lazy I did not explain what patterns they are but as they are all Truly Victorian I am sure you’ll find them!

Wow, is this a challenge? :) The evening gown is very youth making it's a neat color too...thought maybe I was just imagining things when I looked in the mirror while wearing a similar style but now I see it works for others too!

The red gloves are very…red. They match the hat perfectly but they are very..red. In fact too red for me .
When my husband was taking the photo I realised that I had forgotten my gloves and as they are very fine kid and difficult to put on I took the first gloves I saw…the red ones (difficult not to see them  ). They are bridesmaids’ gloves.

Miss Cindy, I am retired, I have ‘sold’ my children and am now just a grandmother. So I can now spend all my time making costumes. I could no doubt make more (and better) if I was a bit less lazy.

Dixie McCan, you are right, my work is Truly Victorian. Georgeous? Honestly not so sure but thank you very much. :)

No SarahS it is not a challenge. I need to be elegant and to be able to change my outfit once or twice per day during 10 days. I am not a noble lady but I know how to walk with my nose in the air amidst all the other pretty (young) ladies.
