B&W 1870's Victorian Finished!

Postby laurainlove » Tue May 11, 2010 10:44 am

We attended Costume Con 28 in Milkwaukee over the past weekend and decided to wear our early 1870's Victorians on the the same day!

I am in the black and white stripes and polkadots.

The blouse is a modified TV401, the overskirt is a lined TV301 (the polkadot fabric is a rayon and was too slinky for an overskirt on it's own), and the underskirt is TV 201. After the first wearing there are some issues to address and now I'd really like to make another overskirt to wear with it :)

You each look beautiful. Wonderful job on the dress. I like the front closures tho from the angle I can't tell if they are frogs or bows, but they look very good!

Hi Miss Cindy,

Thank you! The closures are actually figure 8 shapes I made out of cording and two buttons on each side of the CF opening. I'll try to remember to post a better picture of them at some point!
