My first TV110

Postby e_bennett88 » Thu Jan 28, 2010 5:31 pm

Hello everyone!

After over a month of sewing, fitting, and re-fitting, my first ever corset is finally finished. Below is the link to view the photos!

http://trulyvictorian.com/gallery2/main ... bennett88/

A BIG thank you to everyone on the forum, especially Heather and Erin. Everyone was so helpful answering even the silliest questions I had about my corsets constructions. Thank you all.

Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think!

I posted the link to the gallery like the sticky note said. Can you not access the link? Any suggestions on how I could post them in a different way? Thanks!

Still no luck on the images. I get red x's. The link takes me to a page that says something about security. When did you start your album? I know Heather has to approve them before they can be viewed by members or the public, and sometimes it takes 24 hours. I looked through all the albums to try to find one that might be yours, but had no luck. Of course, I looked for the name Emma, so if that's not your given name, I might have been looking for the wrong one.

I think I found the problem, you have your gallery setting as "private", or something similar. Which means no one but you is allowed to view your gallery. I couldn't even find your gallery until I signed in as moderator.

You can change the privacy setting be going into the "edit Permissions" link. Under "new Group permission", type either "everybody" or "Registered users", depending on who you want to see your album. Then add a new group permission from the drop down men. "view All versions" or "full access" or whatever you want to let people do. Click the "add permission" button and that should do it.

Oh, I see you posted the photos directly. That works too.

Great job, the corset looks very nice!! I wish my first corsets had turned out so lovely and usable.

Ok, i think i finally got this all figured out (forgive me, this is my first time posting!) Below is the link to my photos on the gallery, i fixed the privacy settings so everybody should be able to see them. I also posted all of the photos in one of my earlier posts. Let me know if there are anymore problems!

I can see it.... And I love it. For your first corset, it is really good. I didn't even try flossing on my first one. I can't wait to see the dress that goes over it. :D

Lovely! You did a beautiful job! I love the flossing... I haven't tried it yet, but I'm hoping to make myself another corset, a pretty one this time, and give it a shot. Keep us posted on what you make next!

So when my first one turns out with crooked seams, crossed bones and an upside down/inside out busk can I just steal your photos and paste in my face :D?

You look good enough to eat, and the workmanship is gorgeous. What a great piece of sewing.
