Photos from the Arisia masquerade

Postby beta pleated sheet » Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:20 am

I came across some really great photos of the Arisia 2010 masquerade, which, for anyone who's not familiar with sci-fi cons, is actually a costume contest with fun presentations. They're mostly sci-fi and fantasy costumes, but there are some lovely historically inspired costumes including my entry (we're on page 2 or 3, in the red bustle dresses), a very playful take on a Victorian hunting outfit, and one absolutely stunning 18th century gown.

Here's the album, enjoy!

How lovely! Did you win anything? Even a hall-costume ribbon usually makes my event.

The lady wearing the bustle gown with the hat...my favourite :) Is that you? If so, any chance of closeups of the hat? :)

Yep, that's me. We got best in class for workmanship and presentation.

Here's the best hat photo I've got:
