My tv560- late bustle coat

Postby Sabrina Fair » Thu Nov 19, 2009 8:20 pm

I used the tv560 and updated it to a turn of the century style. I lopped two inches off the shoulder, added a princess line and swapped out the regular coat sleeves for leg-o-muttons. I flared out the front and princess panels. Made in Waverly tavern ticking stripe, lined in moire satin. There's a matching skirt under there and the folkwear gibson girl blouse. I embroidered the lapel on one side and added a key pin to the other.

I still have to introduce it to the final ironing stage but here it is!

Lovely! I'm making the 560 right now as a regular wintercoat for daily use over uncorsetted outfits, it's so funny to see the difference! (mine is half fitted)
