Halloween & other corsets

Postby Soundbrigade » Sat Nov 07, 2009 5:56 am

During our first trip to USA and Chicago I bought some nice lace fabric with witches, but it took me two years before I finally managed to sew two corsets of this great lace.
Here are the results!
This one is sewn of pink duchesse, that suddenly got very crimson when covered by a layer of lace:

This one, a much smaller size is from canary yellow duchesse:

Both corsets sewn from the TV110 pattern.

This one, I've mentioned it somewhere, is sewn from a fabric for a belly dancers costume, bought in Paris. I've lined the top edge by stones.:

It's a bit trucky to work with another layer of lace, but I baste the lace on top of the fashion fabric and treat the "sandwich" as one layer.
It was also interesting to see how the colours changed. The yellow one was bright yellow but became greenish when finished.
Now I've run out of that lace, bought on Jo-Anns back then.
