Heather, I just finished my new 1894 outfit in time to wear to the Molly Brown mansion in Denver Saturday, for tea and the tour. The Eaton jacket went together so easily. Thank you! Here are some pics.

There are a couple others - I just can't seem to get the pics to post here.
Heather: The fabric I used on the Eaton jacket is a silk/wool blend. By the end of the day the shoulder area had collapsed down onto the arm rather than standing out. I lined it in taffeta and thought that would give it enough umph! but it didn't. Any suggestions? Shorten the shoulder? Add a "ruffle" at the shoulder seam to help? Thanks a million!!

Thank you!!
Thank you so much for your compliments! As for what pattern I used for the skirt, ummmm....I didn't - sort of. It's based on a TV pattern, but I actually just guessed, and had a happy result. I pieced a section into the back from around the knees down - a triangle (in two pieces - matching the pattern) so it would give a bit more movement. The jacket is the TV Eaton jacket. It works up nicely!
