Finished NF Dress

Postby Miss Cindy » Fri Oct 30, 2009 12:54 pm

After much time, I have finished the plaid dress. I chose not to add the bows nor the parasol pocket(for now.) I have yet to finish the hat for the ensemble. I'm just trying to figure out how to do it.
I am happy with it for the most part. I noticed that the back of the overskirt probably could have been cut double the width that I cut it, but I think it turned out okay. I may redo it because of the side gathers. They look a little too bunched together. It will wait, tho'. Time to work on something different. :)
TV420, TV225, and TV324 are the patterns that I used.

Beautiful color combination. And I like the pleated skirt ruffle!

Thank you, all!
Although I have made a couple of dresses, this is the first one that is complete. I am still debating how to decorate the hat for it, but hopefully it too will be done soon.
Again, thank you! Especially Miss Heather who gave me great advise on how to do the details.
Sincerely,
Miss Cindy

I finally have a picture of me in the dress.
I am thrilled by the completed dress, including the hat that I finally finished. I think it turned pretty. My heartfelt gratitude to Miss Heather for all of her help with this project!
