Train Trip in Style

Postby totchipanda » Thu Sep 03, 2009 9:47 pm

My mom and I recently went on a steam train trip with some friends. Being the costume nuts that we are, we decided to dress up :D

My mom is wearing TV440 (bodice) and TV246 (petal skirt) over her Elizabethan chemise and hoop (we both figured, hey, why not), and I am wearing TV105, (combos), TV101 (wired bustle with ruffle), Simplicity corset (ugh), TV463 (bodice) and TV261 (skirt). Parasol was purchased for $2 at Clinton in 2006 with a broken spoke and small staining XD (really, the spoke just doesn't stay in the head as you slide the parasol open. It is easily set into place for use, and no one is EVER going to examine the fabric closely enough to notice the stain lol)

These are some of the best patterns I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I can't recommend them enough to my costume-minded friends. So thank you for that!

Thanks for looking :)

How fun! Where was the trip? On a steam train, too cool!
Your dresses are lovely. I love the material that your mother's dress is made from.
Wonderful memories! :D
