My ballgown for NYE

Postby Madamekat » Fri Jan 02, 2009 8:07 am

I made a ballgown out of the pvc from the Halloween collection at Joann's. Luckily, it goes on clearance after the holiday so I was able to afford the yardage I needed. We attended a gothic New Year's Eve event in Philadelphia and had a great time!

I bet you were the bell of the Ball! Simply stunning.

What does the pvc sound like when you move? Is it heavier than fabric? I get asked to make corsets out it sometimes, but I have always refused.

Thanks so much, Everyone!!

K~The pvc I got is a little thicker than fabric. I don't make corsets, but I have a corset made out of pvc and I love it! No idea what kind they used, though, so I'm no help at all!

Thank you all so much!!

Julie Victorian,
I interlined the bodice with cotton, so it was very comfortable for me. Of course I had on two cotton petticoats, so I didn't have any pvc against my legs, either.
