Hello there

Postby Fantasykleidung » Sun Jul 03, 2005 10:41 pm

Hello,

my name ist Christine and I am a customer of Heather in Germany where I resell her patterns in my onlineshop.
Some of my customers are here as well.

Today I want to show you a new dress I made for Ebay.
I hope Heather don't mind me to put a link to the auction in here but I guess it is ok.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 13537&rd=1

Do you find any larger mistakes at this auction? English is not my native language and if you find something funny please tell me.
Many thanks :)

Oh - and here is a making of (text is in German but lots of pictures)

Very nice dress. I just love that printed fabric! And I looked at all those pictures. A lot of work there. And who needs to speek German with the pictures telling it all!

Here is something that might be of interest for you:

http://www.kostuemgeschichte.de/

You have to push the second button at the top "Datenbank"

I guess you will need no more help then :)

It is a page that I started some time ago and which will be updated regulary.
Most texts are in english because my sources (some Peterson's magazines) are all in english and I write down the original texts :)

Wilkommen Christine!

I think your english is quite good!!! We enjoy you here!!!
Just from the words I can understand much of what you are saying which is very cool as I am of dutch, german decent!!!
Well English , irish, swedish, dutch, french, german and scottish
I DO KNOW alot about my ancestors!!!!

My favorite is Sir joshua REYNOLDS a painter.. He was Gainsborough's contemporary (pinkie, blue boy paintings) His work can be seen world wide!! The tragic muse Sara Siddons is on display in the Huntington museum!!!! Here in california and I have yet to see it in person.... My family has. I do have a picture.... one day i will go?
So does anyone have famous ancestors????

Yes I have - my dad researches our ancestors for many years now. I have two famous ones: The painters Lucas Cranach (older and younger) who lived in the renaissance. Martin Luther was the godfather of the younger one.

And a bit funny: My dad found out that his second wife and me have the same ancestors in medieval times.
We are both related to the "Ottonen" (Kings in their times)

All i know is that my ancestors are from spain, that's all.

Still very cool, though! :D

But i do look very much like my great-grandfather, Francisco. (which also happens to be my name too.) Now if i can only become a four star general..... :?
