My July 4th dress -Lady Liberty

Hello,

I just wanted to share a picture of my July 4th gown -- My Lady Liberty outfit as my husband calls it. I used the TV225 underskirt, modified for a bustle - the tv460 with no sleeves - and I made my own pattern for the overskirt, and "tail"....... I made the hat with some pleated red white and blue ribbon hot glued to the edged -- super simple! I wanted a large brim hat to help keep the sun off of my face, and this worked like a charm!

I was actually able to wear my gun belt and holsters over this dress which was lots of fun!! I like to shoot in dresses (although I may be the only one doing it at our shoots)

It was a really hot day 94 degrees and I felt just fine in all my garb -- Heather is right, all those layers act as a barrier against the sun, and keep the original air conditioning (sweat ) from escaping!
