My Silk 1860's ball gown

Postby victorian Carmen » Thu Jul 15, 2004 8:38 am

My Silk 1860's ball gown ,For the week of vintage dancing in Newport, Rhode Island this next August. I used TV442 1860's ball gown bodice and a modified version of
TV246 1851 Petal Ballgown Skirt ,I taped the top and bottom panels together and cut 1 whole piece instead of top and bottom, I love the fullness of the skirt, then I cartridge pleaded the fullness to the waistband, a great way of making all that fullness fit into my 26 inch waist.. thanks Heather for such great patterns, and here's some pictures.

Hi Carmen,

Very nice!!! I love the little bows at the back. And such wonderful shimmery fabric. You'll fairly glow at the balls!
