Not sure if I am putting this in the correct forum but I am looking for a board on regency fashion. I have been told that there are examples of sleeveless gowns during the regency period and wanted to do some followup research but am coming up short. Could someone recommend a board where the members could help me with this?
In the book Mrs. Hurst Dancing: And Other Scenes from Regency Life, 1812-23 a number of the illustrations show what look like jumpers. Also the riding habits I've seen documented consisted of jackets/spencers over a sleeveless bodice to which the skirt was attached. http://www.amazon.com/Mrs-Hurst-Dancing-Regency-1812-23/dp/0575030356/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307753323&sr=8-2
Thank you, I will take a look at the site.
