tee hee

Postby LovesCatsAndCostoming » Fri Feb 12, 2010 3:04 pm

My daughter, who is going to be 13, wants a 1950's style dress for her birthday. It
has a floofy skirt and I said, "it looks like you'll need a petticoat."
"I don't think so," she replied. "I have a vest."

Unfortunatly, she doesn't know what a petticoat is!

Oh boy that reminded me, when I was very young I was watching a new show called "Petticoat Junction" and I asked my mom what a petticoat was and she said, "A long skirt." So for some years, until my late teens, I thought long skirts were called petticoats, I think is was when I first watched "Gone with the Wind" that I realized she meant "underskirt."
