"What," you ask, "is a Demi Fashions form?

Truly Victorian has recently launched our new Victorian Fashion division Demi Fashions. (does that sound very corporate? )

These are a 1/2 scale model dress form and Victorian dress patterns to fit. The patterns will be mostly the TV patterns scaled down, but will offer up some new details and original designs as well. You can find more information on our sister web site:

We are adding this category to the bulletin board to lend support and interest for those who enjoy designing on a smaller scale. Please feel free to ask questions, show your work, or share your thoughts.

Reporting in from Costume College-Van Nuys CA.

The demi dresses and forms are splendid. Truly lovely designs...and what a teaching tool they can be.

Please note...One of the forms on display showed underwear, including drawers to hoop skirt, to petticoat. The back half of the petticoat was on the hoop, which gives a clear "cut away" indication of how the garments work together.

The completed garments on the forms were heavenly :)
