1890's Victorian Corselets as underbust corset?

Postby majors » Thu Mar 05, 2015 5:27 pm

Good Afternoon!

Can this pattern be used corselet? I'm thinking of wearing it over over a blouse and a pair of bloomers as part of a masked ball costume; there will be no corset underneath, so the corselet will be snug, but I'm not using it for figure shaping, but more for the look. Thoughts?

Thank you!

Yes, this could be made for wear as a real corset. I would add extra boning, and maybe use a more standard corset style construction. But the shape itself will be fine.
