Tea Gown yardage

Postby Miss Cindy » Fri Aug 05, 2011 7:14 am

How much shorter would the tea gown be if a person used only 6 yards of fabric instead of the 7 called for on the pattern?
Thank you!

Can anyone give me an idea what affect the shorter yardage would be? Please?

You could make the sleeves from a different fabric and save a yard of fabric there.

This may sound funny, but I imagine it would vary by size. I'm reasonably sure I've squeaked the tea gown out of 5+ yards before. I'm generally a size F.
