Taffeta fabric for a,Natural Firm dress

Postby jewels » Sun Jul 29, 2018 11:51 am

I want to make the 1878 Polonaise and thinking of doing it in taffeta. I found some changeable color fabric black/gold..black/fushcia and some that are an iridescent. What are the thoughts, about using this? It is,an acetate and I would definitely be flat lining. Thanks!!!!

Taffeta should work great. I made mine in dupioni, which is very similar. Changeable fabrics can be fun, but be careful about nap, as it may look different if you get it the wrong direction.
