Have an idea but you just need someone else to agree (or disagree) be fore you go ahead as planned? Here is the place for feedback.

visual appeal/flow

Postby Quallus » Sat Oct 08, 2016 6:59 pm

Could use some opinions here, please.
Trying to decide which way to cut the welt so it flows but still has visual appeal. Have 3 different ways and just cannot decide!
What do you think? Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

I think it depends on the width. I personally like a narrow welt, rather than a thick one, say 1/2" wide total. And then I think the true bias would look very interesting, without being overwhelming. If you make a wider welt, like the width you have now, I think the matching grain would look better. I think the wider bias is too bold and takes over the vest.

Thank you! That makes perfect sense. I had this pinned on there for a while already and just couldn't figure out why it wasn't "flowing" like I wanted it to.
Yippee!!! Thanks so much again! :bounce:
