Would the jacket bodice "go" with the fantail skirt? I'm thinking NO! What do you think?
The fantail skirt seems "dressy" and the jacket bodice is a day bodice, right?

Re: JACKET BODICE AND FANTAIL SKIRT?
I'm wondering this same thing as I've thought of combining them. My guess is that you could make the jacket dressier.... and it does have an open neckline, which says to me more of a dinner or evening style, but maybe I am wrong here?
Re: JACKET BODICE AND FANTAIL SKIRT?
They can go together, but it makes more of a fancy day dress, receptions dress, rather than and evening dress. If you look through the fashion plates of the period, you see trained dresses on the streets.
Re: JACKET BODICE AND FANTAIL SKIRT?
It's not the train on the streets (yes, I know about that), it's the fact that you need to dress up the fantail in order to use it without an overskirt, which causes it to be fancier and not quite befitting the jacket bodice.
But if it can be called a reception day dress then it's fine with me. Thanks for your help!
