Edwardian Corset grainline?

Postby Miss Cindy » Wed Jun 10, 2015 8:12 am

On the coutil there is a very distinct up/down grainline. Would it be okay to cut the facing at a 90 degree angle from the up/down? My coutil is shy of the vertical grain line enough for one or the other of the two facings. Bummer! But, I have enough to go one piece against the up/down grain.

Yes, it should be fine to cut the facings on the cross grain. It should not effect the rest of the corset in any way.
