Pictures of padding

Postby Miss Cindy » Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:13 am

Dear Heather,
By any chance would you be willing to share pictures of the hip and bust padding for Edwardian corset?
Are there supposed to be two hip pads? Or is it only one worn in the back?
Also, do you recommend using natural fiber instead of polyester fiber fill?
Thank you much!

Hmm... I'll have to go look for a camera. You only need the one pad, in the back. The idea with the padding is to create a round apple shape, rather than a ski slope shape to your back view.

I know that recently a blogger posted an article showing side padding and no back padding, but I have no idea how she came up with that solution. The sides are natural, and the back is rounded out. I have seen some original pads that cover the sides as well as the back, but I have never seen padding for just the sides, aside from 1700 panniers.

Like the one that Kate shared on Facebook? Where you could have the side padding with one middle pad in the back?
Okay! I understand what you mean. Thank you!
If you don't mind sharing pictures, I'd sure appreciate it. :D

I know I can find polyester padding, but I was just thinking about all the scrap pieces of fabric that I have. Would it work to use my leftover scraps to stuff the padding?
