First corset!

Hi!
I´m sewing my first corset with TV110 and have now sewn one mockup, but I don´t really now if it fits or not. I´m using size B with B-cup.

I think I have to go down one cup-size because it almost dosn´t give any suport at all. Over all the corset is quite tight and it was a bit hard to bast together in the front as you maybe can see on the picture.

The pictures are very small, so it is hard to see what is going on. But I think the size is pretty good. It looks too tall for you. Try folding or cutting the top down by about 3cm.

Hi, I´m back again. I had to sew some other things but now I´m back with my corset.

I was told that it was very important to use a fabric in the mockup as stong as the one I´m supposed to have in the real corset. The fabric I used last time was very strong but not that strong, so this time i use one I have been recomended for.

I used the same size but tried a smaller cup-size. It´s size B with A-cup. (Sorry that that the flash ruined the pictures a bit)

I think the bust is too small, it´s just pushing everything up so I will go back to B-cup again. I even realized a mistake I did on the last muckup wich can have made the bust bigger than it should have been.

The hips are a little bit loose.

Over all I am worried that the real corset will turn out too small with this size. There is a 4" wide panel in the back and there is no bones in yet and even now it´s supertight. I needed 6 layers extra strong thread to bast it together and when it was done it was almost like stone (don´t now any good english expression). Well, I do want it to be supertight like this, but I don´t want it to be too small. What do you think I should do?

Oh yes, i forgot. I cut the top down with almost 3 cm. Should I cut something from the hips too?

It does not look too small at all. Once you put in boning, and lacing it closed, it will be fine. It will also stretch after the first few times you wear it, so it has to be too small at this point, in order to fit properly later on. I think you are doing fine. The hip looks fine to me as it is. If you think you should go back to the B cup, that is fine. I think you are ready to make it up for real!
