The "Make It Work" Game

The person posting the pic would post how to formulate it, not ask for advice on how to do it but people commenting can offer changes and sugge...

My tv560- late bustle coat

I used the tv560 and updated it to a turn of the century style. I lopped two inches off the shoulder, added a princess line and swapped out the regular coat sleeves for leg-o-muttons. I flared out the front and princess panels. Made in Waverly tavern ticking stripe, lined in moire satin. There's a m...

Silk Steampunk Underbust Corset: The Traveler

http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_430xN.94513444.jpg Adapted from the TV110 Styling Imagine an airship's mistress guiding her passengers and crew, taking a aerial tour of Paris. See it hovering just over the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and drifting over the Siene. She runs a tight schedule, aided ...

Thanks Mentha! I used the TV110 rose- before there was steel and whalebone, corsets were corded in hemp for support. My cording is mainly decorative so I used jute as it's less expensive. My design does add a little more in bust support though. I would not advise this method for your first corset. I...
