fantastic photos!!! makes me jealous of all the wonderful costumes (i'm so doing something with stripes..)

I to wish i had enough friends to do a victorian party, there are about 4 of us in Chesterfield!!!(that i know of...)

Trim for polonaise?

Hi everybody!

does anyone know how much trim is needed for the poloniase? i want to go all the way round the bottom edges and the back pieces and perhaps on the edges of the sleeves ( depending on what kind of trim i use)

Hi everybody, I'm wanting to make a bustle underskirt to wear with the august overskirt. At the moment i wear a slim skirt and then place a bustle pad between that and the overskirt, which works well but i am wanting to make a proper bustle (which i have pattern for). i like the idea of bias binding, i never thought of that. Also maybe edging in a contrasting colour all the way round the bottom as well as sleeves.....

hey everyone,

wanting to do tv416 bodice without sleeves... anybody any ideas on how to edge the arm holes? facings or just turning under? i'm not sure which would work best

hi everybody just thought i'd post this link http://corsetmaking.co.uk i find it's cheaper than vena cava design. not sure about payment options as i usually use paypal but i know they post overseas. Also they do 'kits' for the LM dore,silverado corsets and the simplicity 9769. these work out cheape...

beautiful corset!!! am so inspired!!! i'm thinking do doing myself a red one next as i've got some beautiful black lace fabric which i think i'm going to flat line with red satin... got some gorgeous purple brocade as well so i might just have to make two!!!
