Re: TV110 Fitting Help Mock up pics

Hi Heather!

The lacing is even until the bottom inch of the corset, then the lacing is closer together. I was thinking of shaving just a little off the hip seams on the back middle piece to correct this. I'll try new pieces and post new pics in the next couple of days, thank you!

Re: Reproducing Fashion Plate, TV Pattern Help

Wow Heather, that was a quick response, thank you! One more question, since I don't have enough fabric to do the entire TV208 view B, could I just use a light cotton twill for the under skirt where it won't show? I was thinking where the overskirt covers the front of the underskirt and in the back s...

Reproducing Fashion Plate, TV Pattern Help

Good Morning! Hoping for some advice from the talented folks here; I want to reproduce the teal/green and copper dress on the left. Where the green is I will be using plaid and the copper will be a solid turquoise. I have 7 yards of the plaid and 6 yards of the turquoise, so I think it will be enoug...

Just Completed Imperial Tournure!

Good Afternoon! Once again I can't say enough positive things about these patterns! The bustle took less than 4 hours to make, all the pieces fit together perfectly, and the result is amazing! I love how Truly Victorian patterns make Victorian costuming so accessible and easy; letting the costumer's...

Adding Ruffles to Imperial Tournure?

Good Afternoon! I'm on a serious ruffle kick right now and wanted to see if anyone had recommendations on where to place 3-4 rows of ruffles on the Imperial Tournure? The bustle is lovely as is (and doesn't need ruffles over the bones), I just want to do ruffles just 'cause. Any thoughts? Thank you!...

LM 112 View C under early bustle Trained skirts

Good Afternoon!

Would the Laughing Moon 112 view C bustle and train support fit under the early bustle trained skirts, has anyone tried it? Alternatively, would someone have a recommendation on what TV patterns I could modify to get a similar train support bustle? Thank you!

Re: What should I make with this fabric?

Thank you for the suggestion Elensari! I am really into late Victorian/Belle Epoche right now, I like the suggestion to use the striped fabric as a trim on the skirt :) . Back to the sketch pad!

Adjusted front needed is larger than pattern

Good Afternoon! Looking for some help; after having twins my measurements changed dramatically in the bust causing my adjusted front measure to be larger than 30 inches which is a problem on all bodice patterns. (went up to a 36 "N" bra size ). Laura recommended I go up several sizes...
