I think that is based on TV 101, which is really not that big as it looks--the weight of the two skirts squish it into proportions. I would then venture to say that the skirt looks like it is TV 261 without poofs or ruffles with TV 208 view A overskirt. It could be TV208 altogether, just shortedned ...

I made mine with the low neckline and love it. I do recommend putting pretty lace that you can thread ribbon through(I think the term is called "beading") so you can use it like a drawstring to pull it up tight when needed.

I have made chemises out of rayon blends, but they feel odd after being sweated into after a day and don't breath as well. On the other hand, I haven't used linen yet myself, but many people recommend it. The only reason why most historic examples are white is that white was easily cleaned, but I am...

For me, if it is a brand new corset, I tend to need help being laced in, but after wearing the corset three times the boning is already molding to my body and I can generally then lace myself in.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear... what were all the measurements for the front laced up corset? The bust, waist, hips and length in front and length in back. It is just a really neat piece to me.

from what I have been told, they are trying to figure out if the demand for the cut yardage section is great enough to keep open. They are keeping the craft section(prepackaged zippers, thread, applicias, beads, cake decor stuff ect) but bolt fabrics would be going. They are not turning around and d...

Wow!!! The first one was stunning!!! What are the measurements on it? As for a guess of the dates I'd say anywhere from 1870s or 1880s. The brown linen? one may be a little earlier, but I am by no means an expert!! So don't quote me on that! The site the pictures are from is beautiful!!! Amazingly n...

I don't know if I am doing any of this right, but I use one heavy fabric for holding the shape and I line the lighter fabric to be pretty. My corsets usually have two to four layers depending. I don't like to use too many heavy weight fabrics because then it adds bulk and then I have to make a small...

there is a little written about flossing in Waisted Efforts, but very little. It does have a nice image of an example swatch of embroidery stitches. Mainly from what I can see from examples is that it is a diagonal stitch over the ends of the casing, as mentioned, for "engineering" purposes. usually...

I like the fact that it "runs" small... According to previous threads it already has the squish factor built in and means the sewer doesn't have to do all the figuring out, unlike LM, where to get a decent curve you have to trace through multiple sizes and Simplicity and other major commercial patte...

OMG!!! LOL!!! I'm too old for Santa!!! But YES!!!! This corset is VERY comfy!!! I need a little more boning than what I have in it up the front, and in the LM I need a B-cup, but it looks like for TV110, I can go up to a C-cup. I just love how it feels..... I am about to make a corset for everyday w...

Thanks!!!! I REALLY love this pattern and I suggest it to everyone who wants to make a corset for the first time. I *love* the new corset construction style because it looks good both on the outside, but really nicely finished on the inside too, which is something that the LM patterns didn't get unl...
