Here in north Houston, we are still without power, running on generator, but not for much longer, can't afford the gas. No damage to the house from wind or trees, or flooding after the fact, but we had a whole yard full of downed limbs. We have nearly half an acre and it would be easy to say every t...

Thanks for the information, but what if you only want a couple of busks total? I would like to order two 12" spoon busks from someone, any takers??? I don't have paypal but can pay via a money order.

Thanks in advance,

1873 German Vest Bodice

Here is my first TV costume. I've had Heather's patterns for awhile now, but never got to use one for me. Well this is it. The bodice is modified in the back as you can see. The bustle is from the Polonaise pattern (I didn't have the correct overskirt pattern yet at the time) and I attached it to an...

Yeah, grommetts are at the centre of discussion over on the How do you? board. There, a young lady with a budget is going over the pros and cons of grommetts and how to apply them. Come on over and take a read.

I just posted pic of closeups of my corset for someone on the boards and when I clicked on your link, it showed my corset. but I saw your's, looking great to me. You omitted the front busk on the corset??? or you covered it up really well. :) Still, very well done!!!!!

Well, even if I didn't, We certainly were treated as such when we wear them. It's neat when unknown people start to bow and curtsey and men yell out, royalty coming through and you look around and these guys are halting traffic just for you. It's definitely a Kick!
Merry Christmas!!!!

Here's one of the RenFest pics. My friend took it. I'm still looking for the portrait pic that we had done. http://www.thecarolinabelles.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=871&stc=1 Not near as awesome as yours, but I'm proud of it. :) I also made all of the jewelry, crown, fan, girdle.

Yes, the two skirts were purchased new at the store, here is a better description of the process: "The bottom tiers are two skirts bought at J.C. Penney's early this year left over from last summer for $3.99 each, one is size 2X, the other 3X but just the same otherwise. I opened up one side seam on...

Well, I had a nice tome written as a reply, but it got lost when I went looking for a picture. Suffice it to say, thank you. The lace on the skirts came that way, I just sewed the two skirts together to make a bigger skirt and sewed it to the waist area made of the remnant. I visited your site and y...

$10 Corset and new Petticoat

Here are my Brand new Petticoat and old corset. This is the one that I spoke of in Meet and Greet. I finished the petticoat today. It too cost about $10, made from two skirts and a remnant. :)

Sorry about that Phantom thing, its the Bella Manningham one from Gas Light. Black with the Bolero Vest with gold fringe and trim. The Pleated underskirt looked like quite an undertaking. Anyway, tell us about that one.
