You might check with The Historical Hairdresser. Tracy is a costumer who finds incredible things in the most interesting places. She might know.

The idea of part regular, part Lobster comes to mind when wanting a "Tea Table Tush". The inner structure might serve to keep the "Table" behind you. Use the larger size in back and your size in front, perhaps?

Re: Tv 101 -washing

I left tiny openings and pull my petticoat bones out each time I wash my petti and dry in machine as it is cotton. As for the corset, I have always put it in a laundry bag and on delicate in my machine. Clean and pretty. I hang it to dry. No problems. :bounce:

I ADORE both dresses. I have occasion to see Ms. Emmaline's in person. She is a perfectly LOVELY woman and I cherish her friendship.

Also, it would be nice to know what patterns other than the one listed were used. For example, if I see a Skirt Pattern, I might wonder what bodice pattern was used. It would be nice if they would list which patterns were used.

Re: stockings?

I purchased the Target Cable knit stockings and they are a little rough on the sole. I find if I have to be on my feet for any length of time, they am not that comfortable.

Ask Lady Fleur. She makes hats, has access to buckram frames, makes frames, some from her own patterns. www.makingyourdreamcometrue.com. She has lots of information if you have lots of questions.

Re: Which patterns work best for an "apple"shape?

I am an "Ample Sample" and I find that the LM doesn't give me as nice a shape as the TV110. I MUCH prefer Heather's pattern AND, it is easier to make up. I will make another TV as my next corset.

Yeah, the four-layer thing got me confused too.
