Re: Getting ready for Archon 2015

Yep, they're functional! No buttons or hooks on this bodice, was trying for the Gothic look. It feels like a lot more once you start buckling them... I'm aiming for a monster/doctor theme, with myself as the monster and my daughter as doctor. We'll see how it goes. I have some fake blood at the read...

Re: Natural Form for a Kid

Yep, I plan on being there. She'll be a Victorian Doktor Frankenstein and I'll be the Victorian Monster. They have a Children's Masquerade Saturday morning, which is always cute. I have all the fabric and trim I need, and I'll get cracking on that as soon as comic con and the ren faire are over. You...

Re: Natural Form for a Kid

1. Here are some hat pics. The left is mine, the right is the 10 year old's. 2. The ruffle trim came that way. I bought it off ebay. Just look for 'organza pleated trim'. I'm thinking it was done via machine, otherwise I feel really sorry for someone out there. 3. TV125, TV221 and TV324 were just sh...

Natural Form for a Kid

Question of the day: How do you get a 10 year to hold still long enough to take decent measurements? I could wonder how Victorian types did it, but then they took family portraits with dead kids, so from a gallows humour point of view, that would make it easier. They did some creepy stuff and I keep...

Finished Natural Form Dress

Well, almost finished, I'm missing a couple of hooks and eyes. I have a tailoring question. Between the bust and the shoulder, I always seem to have a bit too much fabric (there is looseness that creates a puffy silhouette around the neck and shoulders) . In this case I did a dart that is hidden by ...

Hello,

How would you change TV362 to make it Natural Form? Just shorten the back panel?

Thanks!

Natural Form Undergarments

Just finished my undergarments for the Natural Form era, now for the dress! Will hopefully be done in time for the St Louis Comic Con. I got a ruffler foot for my machine so instead of following the instructions regarding the number of crinoline strips to sew together, I just used the new foot and s...

TV125 - How many of these did they wear at a time?

I'm starting up a natural form outfit and I'm looking that that netting part that fits between the inner and outer back. Did they wear multiple of these kinds of petticoats? Or did they wear just one and then just a non poofed one over top? Out of curiosity, did they actually use netting or somethin...
