I don't have a bunch of really good pics yet, but here's the WIP dress,.... http://aimeemajor.com/wp/wp-content/gallery/beijingvictorian/beijingvicwip06.jpg and then here's the finished gown at Dickens Fair this past weekend. http://aimeemajor.com/wp/wp-content/gallery/beijingvictorian/beijingvic02....

WIP Floral Striped Polonaise

My current project is a 1873 Floral Striped Victorian Polonaise using TV410 and TV201. The fabric is one that I picked up in Beijing, China and some of my girlfriends have the same fabric in different colorways! This is my muslin for the bodice: http://aimeemajor.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/po...

Ushist Menswear?

I need some advice on whether I'm going the right direction for my husband's mid-1800's Victorian outfit. :) I'm not sure who to ask because most people (including me) only know about the ladies! :) I'm probably going to make the waistcoat (perhaps this pattern?) http://www.pastpatterns.com/018.html...

Totally gorgeous. All of them are great. I love the draping layers on your skirt.

What patterns did you use?

Striped Early Bustle Design

Hi, folks! I'm new here. I've been costuming for about 9 years and just started getting more into historical a couple years ago. I've done a couple 18th century, but I wanted to do a Victorian for Dicken's Fair this year. I know this dress design isn't really the period for Dickens, but oh well, I'm...
