I cant quite remember her name, but she has a profile on this board. She made a copy of this dress, and she took amazing construction notes and pictures.

Re: N.F. Two-tone bodice HELP

Yeah, sorry about the size of the photos. I will make another mockup in a lighter color fabric, that might help. I did take into consideration skirts and petticoats, and with letting out where I did, everything should lay fine from the waist down. NOW FROM THE WAIST UP: Regarding the weird extra acr...

N.F. Two-tone bodice HELP

Re: Troubleshooting a Hoop Skirt

I know there is a similarity between height and hoop circumference..... did I read that here..... :?

Anyways, I think your best bet is to try and use the 180" hoop, and add petticoats to make up the difference in volume. Remember, you will need more hoops the larger the circumference.

Re: Troubleshooting a Hoop Skirt

That's what I was typing heather..... Great minds and all that

I would also try adding volume with a tulle/net petticoat over a smaller hoop. :)

Re: "Ease" in corset patterns

Helpful tip: Cross your laces at the waist before you bring them around front. If not, the tension is moving the opposite way than it should. Beautiful corset BTW! :D

Re: I'm pregnant! Yay...oh, my bodices no longer fit...help!

Maybe try adding more seam allowance to the side seams? I like the idea of the drawstring front!
